Port Angeles is the largest city on the north Olympic Peninsula. This city is a major "gateway" to Olympic National Park and to Vancouver Island in Canada. Port Angeles is the headquarters of Olympic National Park. It is a few minutes away from spectacular Hurricane Ridge, starting point for Olympic hikes and popular wintertime playground. Port Angeles is the terminal for year round ferry service across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to Victoria, B.C. The Coho ferry carries cars, RV's and passengers year round. The Victoria Express passenger ferry operates May thru September. A few of the local attractions are the Arthur D. Fiero Life Center on the waterfront, the Clallam County Historical Society Museum, and the Fine Arts Center, offers a very educational museum.
